FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a standard hourly rate and customized packaged deals for combination services. I am always willing to work out a payment plan with my clients or offer a la carte rates based on the client's needs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I first understand the client's needs: what they have done so far, what their desires are both professionally and personally (or help them clarify this through some simple questions), what they are struggling to do in the past and present. This typically happens over a short half hour "get to know you" call. After this, I prepare a short timeline with information about what we might be able to do to change the history of their job search or professional struggles and share that with the client. We then have another half hour call to agree on the plan and get to work. It is important for me to prepare the client for what is to come but also to connect with them as a person. I share stories of past clients and of my own search processes to humanize the process. Additionally, I love to share as many resources as possible with my clients. I want them to feel they are getting their money's worth and have a partner in the process both in the present and future once my services are no longer necessary.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My educational background is in psychology, counseling, and career development. I am a certified resume writer with over 8 years of experience in career counseling for clients from aged 18 - 65. I am trained to advise individuals who want to attend law school as well. For the last 5 years, I have served as a salary negotiation expert as trained by the American Association of University Women (AAUW) via their StartSmart (college students and recent grads/First salaries) and WorkSmart (seasoned professionals/Obtaining raises) programs.
