Joanna LOCHEN taught my daughter to sew. She has had 15 years experience in teaching Family and Consumer Science in TN. Joanna works in a very professional manner. Her expertise, patience and genuine love of sewing was very contagious for my daughter. I was very happy to get sewing lessons for my daughter and she never felt pressured and thoroughly enjoyed the exoerience. I would highly recommend Joanna as a sewing teacher.

She was always a helpful teacher And takes the extra time needed to make sure you are happy with her devices. Now iv made dresses, gift, baby blankets, & curtains. Those things I thought would be impossible, but not with her by your side. Very professional and recommended

Prices vary according to your location and how many hours you want per session. Most can see very well in 5 lessons.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Begin with the basics, learning parts of the sewing machine, tools for sewing, threading the machine and learning to operate the machine. Learning to see in a straight line, curved line and other techniques.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor of Science in Home Economics Education, Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising and 15 years of teaching sewing in my Family and Consumer Science classes. I have been sewing for over 30 years.
