If someone would have told me that meeting with Jamila would change the entire course of my business, website, and communication style, I would have said, “Absolutely no way!” But in one short hour, Jamila pointed out some major hangups that were going on with me. Not in a bad way, but in an honest way (Like the kind of feedback a best friend would give!). She gave me permission to take ownership of my business and fiercely go out into the world to create change. I came to the realization that I could no longer stand behind a program that was a piece of my business, but I needed to take center stage and market myself, my gifts, and all that I have to share with the world. Within one month of meeting with Jamila, I upgraded my website, added meaningful stories to my presentations, changed my pictures, created a brochure, and really zeroed in my ideal audience. Life definitely can be difficult at times and it is great to have friends and family that you can talk to. However, sometimes you need another perspective. I reached out to Jamila as I was struggling through some difficult times in my life. Transitioning into the role of a caregiver for my mom, dealing with an overwhelming amount of stress, changing careers, relocating back home and trying to find time for myself. Jamila coached me through the hardest times I have ever faced, providing me with clarity, allowing me to refocus my priorities. She helped me learn how to adjust my thinking, teaching me to acknowledge how much I was doing and to feel good about the progress I was making. Our discussions kept me focused on what was important. Through her teachings I learned a number of strategies to use in order to stay calm in those stressful moments. I am a very independent-perfectionist-overachiever type and Jamila helped me discover ways to embrace those qualities through balance. She is this new voice that I hear now in the back of my mind that encourages me and keeps me grounded, centered, focused, and calm.

We discussed a goal that I really wanted to achieve. She asked guiding questions and offered feedback and advice. She validated my feelings and concerns. The session ended with new hope and encouragement.
