For the past decade, I have traveled the Southeast acting as Estate Caretaker, Handyman, lead builder and project manager for additions and remodeling as well as designer/creator/implementer of a unique homestead engineering, yielding a property such that your clients can retreat to whether for secure solitude or see them through any type of crisis. Using the latest technology and employing mirco and macro farming and aqua culture techniques on various scales, to establish each property into an environment that is completely secure through technology and self-sustaining to its inhabitants indefinitely. Well stocked enough to see anyone or group through a crisis, when it is needed. Every project and every clients needs are uniquely theirs, as demonstrated in the latest list of recent projects below. For the past 7 years I have had the pleasure of working and visiting such areas as: Tellico Plains Tennessee For a woman who was gifted by her parents who passed, a 5,000 sq. ft 3 story Log Cabin on 10 acres of a mountain top. She needed some way to care for it, maintain it and have it pay for itself, if she was to keep it, while she created roots with in the community. Over a 10 month stay I converted the property to a B&B with 3 rooms plus a private space for the owner. Designed and executed a theme and retrieved all the need materials in local flea markets to wood off old barns, etc. to achieve the unique look of the rooms and barn style bathroom. From studs, completely remodeled the rooms in 1500 square feet of the second floor with barn style ceiling and 4 dormers, from sheet rock to finished pieces, a complete design and renovation. Cleared ¾ of an acre of trees to give the house a view is has never known in their 20 years of ownership. All cut wood was converted to firewood, mulch and numerous couches, chairs and tables made from the branches and pathways to multiple fire pits and lounging areas were made from slices of the larger trees. The house and decks were painted and/or stained, and landscaping was achieved by companion plantings of flowers with vegetables and fruit trees and a local community CO-OP garden was created to draw in the community to her and both the B&B and Garden were successfully executed. Additionally the basement, running the length of the house and underground on 3 sides was converted to her storm shelter, small indoor working Talapia farm and hydroponics area as well as supplies stored for emergencies Edison, Georgia Over a 13 month period, while acting as sole caretaker, working singularly and at times with local talent and on rare weekends, a majority of the family whom owns the property would arrive to lend a hand .Completely remodeled a families hunting camp and added and addition of 6 more bedrooms and 2 bath, while converting a 2 story silo into a multi-story living quarters with all the amenities. Additionally cared for and restored through a large re-planting effort, the families surrounding 100 acres, restoring and expanding existing forests back to natural habitat, making the whole property food producing for human and animal in a natural way, while creating natural protective borders and it is all maintained with minimal human intervention, using a combination of traditional farming techniques and High tech solutions. Furthermore, procured all the supplies necessary to build a small community, if this family of over 50 was ever in need, to retreat there. All supplies have been buried throughout the property in shipping containers. The system is designed that as the containers are emptied of their contents, needed to build and maintain the community and grow and raise food, each group of containers becomes the residences for the extended family. Ponds were dug and supplied with fish and the perimeter of the property was planted with a food forest that acts as a thorn encrusted wall to intruders, while it bears food of all types. Additionally, various groupings of plants were installed throughout the property, in order to foster and propagate a healthier genetically diverse, deer and hog population as well as many small game animals, which were also introduced. This property is protected by consumer drones that have been programmed for multiple surveillance situations as well as other activities. Additionally a complete remote surveillance and automated response systems have been installed and are improved upon as family budget allows. This community of family members has triple redundancy for power gathering, creation and distribution and is set up with the foresight to know what to grow and what to produce as a small community, so they become a value to the surrounding community, valuable enough to warrant protection from their neighbors. Weeki Wachi Florida Caretaker for residence of a woman who traveled nationally and internationally, often. Took care of pets and property for 1 year. This woman wanted to build an infrastructure on her acreage, that would accommodate her children, step children and grandchildren, if a disaster forced them out of their property. Located within a large wildlife management area, this property sits on a dried out lake which was designed to be converted into a small working aquaculture and hydroponic farm, that a care taker maintains and the owner profits from. During construction, networked with local restaurants and created a local chefs co-op garden. Tilapia and prawns are raised and most vegetables and garnishes for local chefs can now be grown within weeks and cared for by here care taker who manages the property when she is away. While living on the property for 9 months, I was lead builder and project manager for the construction of a new residence using SIPS technology. (Structurally Insulated Panel System) I was recommended to the position by the head contractor for West Pasco Habitat for Humanity. Where I had already built 5 homes such homes using this particular new technology, with them as a volunteer. After completing the home 3 weeks ahead of schedule, the owner adding to my contract to create a pond and pens for various livestock and 2 horses as well as designing/build a manageable hydroponics garden feeding off the pond, that he and his wife can maintain. Because this property was a ground up build, I was able to introduce various additional high tech and low tech solutions that created a more secure, efficient and more pleasant place to live, that is dependent on no one but the owners and can support them and their family for yea
