Introduction: I started my career as a newspaper photojournalist covering a variety of events. In my 30 years as a photographer I have covered everything from County Fairs to the Olympic Games. I have learned that tremendous images can be made at any event if you take the time to engage with others and connect with them. Great photography happens when I work collaboratively with others. This makes a photo shoot fun and rewarding for both the subject and myself. The great pictures are the icing on the cake! Meeting with new people on a daily basis and working with them to capture their wedding day, their child's first steps or their first dance recital never gets old. Even if you just need a head shot for a web site, why not make it an image you will cherish?

Rich is an outstanding, professional photographer. He has a way of making you feel comfortable during a shoot without excessively giving you direction. The result is beautiful, natural looking photos that feel genuine. Rich really knows how to capture quiet, special moments without intruding on them. His experience with sports photography lends to his ability to also capture motion (like dancing) without comprising quality. Photography is so obviously not only Rich's career, but also his passion, and he is so good at what he does (and he's extremely humble in regards to his impressive accomplishments). So many wedding photographers use filters or put watermarks on their images, but Rich does not. His works speaks for itself. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer. You will not be disappointed.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is standard when dealing with corporations but when it comes to small businesses, people in the arts and individuals I try to be as flexible as I can to provide the client with affordable images while still being financially worthwhile to me.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I find an initial telephone call to ensure that I can provide the client with exactly what type of photography they desire is important. If the job is a larger scale commitment a face to face meeting is important.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Mass Communications from Towson University and have worked full-time as a photographer as my main/only source of income since 1983.
