FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Because each family is unique, I do not have a one-size-fits-all price. During the free consultation, I will explain how I charge for mediation and how you can help to contain costs by being prepared for each session. I offer both multi-session, comprehensive mediation and limited-scope mediation of one or two sessions.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will chat by phone for about 15 minutes; I will chat with the other party, too, if desired. Then we will meet in person or by video / phone for about 30 minutes to explain the process of mediation and how we will work together.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to law school because I wanted to be a divorce mediator. I have practiced family law in Oregon and on a Navy base in California. I have been to hundreds of hours of training in advanced family mediation topics, and have been working as a family mediator (primarily divorce) in California for eleven years.
