Akin is an amazing artist who is super talented. I was so impressed by how much he captured the essence of who I am. The portrait was so alive it almost felt animated. It has a really interesting modern flair too. I would recommend it to anyone.

Dada Art is awesome!! He drew jungle animals for my students at my Montessori school and all of the parents and staff loved his work! He was very professional and timely. I would definitely use him again. Thank you Dada Art!!

Despite the multiple requests to leave a review, I have resisted. But enough is enough.
While I find Akin's talent relatively impressive, I must caution against this hire - at least for any professional/corporate events.
Our first interaction on location was in regards to misunderstanding on price for services. This was my fault and I thank Akin for working with me to come to an understanding. Initial conversation landed on $50/portrait plus $20 per hour. At the requested 8 minutes per portrait, we were looking at $395/hour - needless to say, this was out of the question.
Portraits then took 45 minutes instead of the 8 minute caricature renderings requested. Three employees were serviced at a 3 hour event - not what we were looking for and I had clearly expressed our expectations.
After the high hourly rate expectation and poor performance, we now have the issue of impatience.
This was a corporate event, which means payments go through our accounting department. I asked him to submit an invoice for payment. Instead, he sends me a text requesting money. Not only that, he also texts my client requesting payment! And the requests don't stop there. Multiple texts and calls, calls to my office manager, emails, etc. This office likes to keep tax information on file for vendors they pay out - Akin refused to provide any information.
I have hired dozens vendors throughout the years and developed great ongoing relationships - including via Thumbtack. I believe that Akin has some learning to do when it comes to working within the business world.
