FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Typically, my pricing given my experience is as follows: 30 minutes: $25.00 1 hour: $40 If I travel to the student's house, there will be a small fee for gas and expenses TBD (usually around $5-10) I also offer a half price first lesson (of an hour) for new students if they desire as a way for the student to see if it is something they'd be interested in.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process for working with a new customer is to first, ask them about what their goals are as a musician and get a feel for where they are on their musical journey. Before even picking up the sticks, I feel if you get a feel of where the student wants to go and what their aspirations are, then you can move forward with them not only on the same page, but on the right foot.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have studied music in school for the past 13 years, and have a minor in music from Fitchburg State University. I was also a music major at the University of Massachusetts Lowell before I transferred to Fitchburg State University in 2012. Throughout my education in music, I have also trained privately with Kevin Tellier, Jeff Fischer, Jim Lattini, and was lead percussionist in the Townsend Military Band under direction of the late Jon Nicholson, founder of MICCA (Massachusetts Instrumental & Choral Conductor's Association) of which I am still a member today. I currently training with Lou Lacava out of Acton Massachusetts, who has in turn studied with leading drummers in the industry such as Dave Dicenso and Mike Mangini.
