FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Initially we base our estimates on a few factors such location, materials, and the square footage of the area to be painted.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
To begin the working process we typically talk with our customers about what kind of artwork/mural they are interested in. We get a feel for the stylistic direction that they would like to go in. Initially we base our estimates on a few factors such location, whether a mural is indoor or outdoor, and the square footage of the area to be painted. With all of this information we are able to give an accurate estimate. Once we agree to work together we will begin the design process. Most of our murals are designed using Photoshop. This allows us to easily make changes until we have the perfect design for our client's space. Upon design approval prep work and then painting begins... For the most part our murals are painted off site in sections in our studio on a synthetic material called parachute cloth. Once painting is complete we use an adhesive called Nova Gel that binds the mural to the surface of the wall, taking on whatever wall texture there may be (I.e. brick). Touch ups are done on the wall and the mural is then sealed with a UV protectant sealer. This is a process that has been used for the past 25 years. Colors will remain brighter than your typical direct wall painted mural and the work can be done any time of year regardless of the elements. Painting the mural in sections like this also allows for community engagement if this is desired.
