Save yourself the trouble and don’t move forward. Apparently he only does big projects and he doesn’t need our money. I inquired about window installations for a fix and flip. He went over to do the estimate and while he was there, he called me and offered to do more jobs at the home. We proceeded with an estimate for all that I wanted done. I noticed he got a lot of negative reviews on several platforms and I Expressed to him my concerns of him as a contractor. I asked him for more recent positive reviews, and apparently he doesn’t have any. So because of his non-credibility I told him that we would purchase the materials instead. Duane evens agrees to split up the job. But about 10 minutes after he verbally agreed to split up the job, he text me and says that he basically can’t do it anymore, because he “ only does big projects” . Which was strange for him to say because initially, I only contacted him to do windows. Then all of a sudden he becomes extremely difficult and wants the property cleaned before he works on it and all of these things in my opinion to avoid signing the agreement that my company drafted up and to take full control of the situation. I’m his words , “ An agreement does not change trust and communication”. ( the most gaslighting BS I’ve ever heard ) In a nutshell the Duane is a terrible businessman and there’s something off. I think his licensed may be expired, his workers are not insured, I also have a huge feeling that he scams people similar to what Christian Sparacio does. I wouldn’t consider Duane a contractor at all , a handyman st most which that is fine too but what I have a problem with is the playing games, the lying , the pretending to be more than just that.
