Introduction: I offer tutoring services in math, science and Spanish. With a BS in geology and an MS in hydrology, I have the credentials of a qualified tutor. Adding the intangibles of also having raised four children through public school honors programs and 15 years of youth sports coaching experience, I am a solid choice to tutor these subjects to students of all ages. I am also fluent and literate in Spanish and speak it with a native accent. This qualifies me to not only tutor Spanish but also to tutor math and science in Spanish.

Mr. Chaves was a huge help tutoring me for multiple subjects as I returned to college. While our original focus was math (algebra), he also was very helpful in assisting me with my writing assignments. Mr. Chaves has an impressive and unique educational and professional resume, but what made him so helpful to me, beyond his pedigree, was his patience and creative approach to teaching. Going back to school at my age was a little intimidating at first, but Mr. Chaves helped me find my confidence. Ive finished my studies and now Mr. Chaves is teaching me Spanish!

Jeff has been working with my 15 year old for nearly a year. He has been a supportive and encouraging coach for swimming as well as provided tutoring I the subject of geography, language and math. He has stayed informed about the particular need of my child and tries to implement new strategies based on his observations. It has been very successful. My son has enjoyed working with him and always looks forward to his next session.
