FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Live Music - Prices will vary based on the length of your event, music selections, and location. Other musicians (i.e. piano, clarinet) may be added for an additional charge. Private Lessons - Lessons are offered in the following lengths: 30 minutes ($25), 45 minutes ($35), and 60 minutes ($45). - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Live Music - We will discuss your event: date, location, length, type of event, number of guests, style of music, and any special requests. Once I have a good understanding of what you are looking for, I will prepare and send you a quote outlining the services for the day of your event. If everything looks good, you will be able to secure your date with a deposit. Private Lessons - In your first lesson I like to hear you play something that you are comfortable with so I can get a good idea of where we are starting, or if you are brand new to the flute we will jump right in to get you playing on the headjoint! We will discuss any specific goals that you have for yourself (i.e. regional auditions, competitions, special performances) and make sure we set you on track to meet your goals. Lessons for each individual will look different, however all students will cover the following topics: tone development, technical skills, etudes, solos, and sight reading.
