Introduction: Hi! My name is Ken. Im 34 years old and I love working with my hands. I have a 10+ year background in carpentry and heavy construction. In my spare time I volunteer as a builder for non-profit organizations. I even worked on Extreme Makeover Home Edition. I love to create and design. Whether its the two beds I've created for my home or the built in shelf unit I made for a friend. Whenever I can I love to create art, of any kind! All for the fun of it. But now it's time to take that love to others. And I'd love to help you! I love seeing a vision come to life. To see a thought, in 3D, is a feeling like no other. Ken was awesome! So professional! He had all his tools and he was so neat and clean. He took great care to ensure that he did not clutter the work space or damage any existing furniture or surfaces. He even had nice design ideas that helped improve my initial vision. I am BIG on good customer service, since I think that if I'm paying for something I should get A+ service and no attitude. I also don't mind vocalizing when something goes well or when something goes bad. I was so pleased, I ended up using him three times and I have a couple of other projects that I want to run by him.

Being a D.I.Yer I pride myself on having a decent knowledge of the trades I work in and around.. ESPECIALLY when it came to my own home. I hired KLR customs to install a 1st floor bathroom and laundry room because my house is about 100yrs old and is COMPLETELY out of square. KLR customs had prompt customer service, explained to me in detail the work that needed to be done and answered all of my many many questions. Kenny treated me fairly, kindly, and dealt with me patiently while maintaining top level professionalism and quality work. I love the way my project turned out and would not hesitate to use KLR customs again in the future!

I'm not trying to build a fortune. I just want to provide a service for a modest fee.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Consulting with them first. Getting to know there likes,dislikes, wants, and needs. Then doing my best to make them smile. Whether I win or lose the customer will always be happy.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked for a custom closet company for 2 years. I'm currently with a concrete construction company going on 11 years. My summers in school where spent with my dad's remodeling business cleaning up, one of the biggest parts of the job, then learning the trade of carpentry. In my spare time, I spend hours online devoted to research of new techniques and methods.
