She was very nice and helpful in instructing my daughters first riding lesson. She felt very comfortable with the horse and her instructor. Great choice!Mar 8, 2017Verified
Jasmine was quick to respond to my inquiry on Thumbtack and offered very good price for lessons. My daughter loved her lesson in big part because Jasmine did a great job connecting to my daughter. You can tell she read and remembered what I wrote in my description of my daughter's horse back riding experience. We will be taking her lessons now on the regular basis. An equestrian place much closer to us that had us on the waiting list called me this week and said that a spot opened up, however after asking my daughter it was clear that she would like to continue taking her lessons from Jasmine!Nov 4, 2016Verified

- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Equestrian Science from William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri. I have worked at several large show barns, in addition to running my own lesson program freelance. I have worked under trainers working with green horses, problem horses and horses re-training for a new discipline or to get back in shape after time off.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?My advice for finding a trainer that works with you is to meet the trainer, see if their communication style fits with how you like to communicate. If you can find reviews, read them, and feel free to message the people making the reviews. Ask what they think of the trainer, and see if they have any experiences you would not be OK with. Finally, try the trainer. Their teaching style will come through within the first few lessons. If you aren't clicking, see if there is something you can ask the trainer about (I.E. "I don't really understand when you say to _____, can you explain in another way?" or "I feel like I am missing something") as there may be an underlying reason for the feeling. Give your trainer a chance to improve themselves for you. Remember, you are paying for a service. If you aren't happy, you should be able to get something different, and after some time if nothing changes, its time to gracefully move on to something that fits better.
