FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Easy Movers charges moves based on the jurisdiction that governs moving in that locality. We charge for accessorials (additional services) such as packing services and supplies, crating, Full Value Protection (FVP) and storage. There are four basic categories of residential moving. Local moves, Intrastate moves, interstate moves, and international moves. Local moves are moves within 35 miles from origin to destination. We charge by the hour for local moves plus one hour extra for a travel fee to get the crew to and from your location. Our travel fee is similar to a plumbers service charge for coming out. Intrastate moves are moves within a state that are over 35 miles from origin to destination. Local and Intrastate Moving is regulated by the individual states utilities commissions. Moves in North Carolina are regulated by the North Carolina Utilities Commission NCUC. Our NCSU license number is C-2225. Moves in South Carolina are regulated by the South Carolina Public Service Commission SCPSC. Our SCPSC license number is 9724. We charge by weight and miles for intrastate moves. Interstate moves are moves across state lines. We charge by weight and miles for Interstate moves. Interstate moves are regulated by the Federal Highway Administration. Our ICC number is MC 304469. International moves are chargeable by weight and accessorials. All movers are required to have a copy of their tariff on display at their office. Please email, call, text or live chat with us for more details on pricing.
