We needed someone to install a retaining wall in the rear of our house. Dan seemed very willing to do the job, and eager to start within 2 weeks. We were given a hand written estimated quote during the initial visit, and a follow up call a week later to say that he wanted to stop by and take a few more measurements. He never stopped back and about a week later, he emailed us to let us know he would not be doing our job because it was too much for him. The retaining wall was measuring at only 96 sq ft with 2 sets of steps. It would have been more professional if he would have simply been honest at the initial visit. We could have moved on rather than wasting another 2 weeks.

It's few and far between that you find a service provider who is reliable, so genuinely kind, and whose work is impeccable, all in one. I can confidently say that Dan Harrington from Harrington Masonry is all of the above. I recently hired him to fix a retaining wall. He was prompt to come to my home to assess the work required, he quoted me a very reasonable and fair price to perform the work, and he completed the job in advance of the originally estimated start date. His work was done to such perfection and he was so easy to work with that I've already hired him for another job at my home. I am so sincerely glad that I chose to have Dan do the work at my house. I truly give him my highest recommendation. Anyone who uses his services won't be disappointed.

It is always a pleasant surprise to contact a vendor and have them actually get back to you. Not a worry as Dan has had an ongoing relationship with my real estate clients. This project was for a family member of mine. Older home with the usual chimney stack brick/re-pointing work needing to be corrected. Dan was able to get it on the fast track as interior work needed to be completed once the chimney was repaired for an upcoming sale. Weather was also on his side! The scope of work was more demanding than he had expected, but quote estimate was honored and job was completed in a timely manner. Very easy to deal with and tremendous skill. He manages to keep his costs low and it is reflected in his pricing.
