Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: We give lessons to ages 7 and up, but flexible on age. We teach them the basics of English riding and then take them to the next levels of Dressage, Hunter/Jumpers, and/or Eventing depending on their preferences. We are a mother and daughter team working closely to help train you and your horse. We have both grown up around horses and love teaching both people and horses. The best part of this job is the ability to be around the horses all the time and teach people that love them just as much as we do.

I'm an older woman and beginner with no horse experience. Jody is incredibly patient and supportive and I really appreciate her emphasis on safety. I also like that she can explain clearly every reason behind her instruction. I'm looking forward to building confidence under her tutelage.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Our lessons are $40 for a 30 minute private and $40 for a 1 hour group. Most of the time students start with a private lesson until they are ready to move up and then we put them in a group lesson.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First we start with a 30 minute private lesson and an extra 15 minutes to teach them to tack up and untack. We begin with steer and position. After that is solid we will work with them in two point and posting to strengthen their legs and get them ready for trot. After the student has mastered trot we start the canter and help them decide which path they want to take next: Dressage, Jumping, and/or Eventing.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Jody has 20 years of experience as a riding instructor and has ridden her whole life. Jessica, her daughter, has been riding her whole life as well. This is her first year as a riding instructor, but she has 5 years of classroom teaching experience.
