Introduction: This is a wonderful, all professional, seasoned, Jazz Combo founded in 2014 by Retired Navy Band, DC Saxophonist Howard Denker and his wife Angel Jeter-Denker who is also the Vocalist for the group. We offer Jazz Standards that have been given new life by our most gifted Arranger and Keyboardist - Myrick Crampton. Our band is small enough to fit in anywhere with only 5 members. Our music is soft enough to be non-intrusive so you can enjoy your conversation over a romantic dinner or lively enough to keep those ballroom dance lessons up. If you like, you can dance the night away with a mixture of vocals and instrumentals performed with a variety of styles and rythems that are sure to bring back beautiful memories of times gone by, yet never sounding dull or dated. We love people and we love what we do to make your event memorable when entertaining for large or small venues, private or corporate parties, dinner-dances, ballroom dancing, Country Clubs, Restaurants, Senior Centers and special events and fundraisers. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Price is based on length of gig, distance to the gig, and how many members from the 5 piece band that are needed for the gig - (a minimum of 3 members can perform).
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once we see your post with the date, time and location of the gig and we feel it would be a good fit for the type music we perform, our Vocalist and Co-Founder, Angel Jeter-Denker will check with the other band members for availability for the gig and discuss pricing which will be based on how many members are needed as well as the length of the gig and distance to the gig. Then she will contact the Customer to confirm.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Howard Denker the Founder is Retired from the U.S. Navy Band DC. Another member is retired from the U.S Army Band. Still others are graduates in Jazz Studies.
