- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We first meet face to face to establish a good working relationship. In the first meeting, we ask that the client brings a list of the different types of transactions they have. We also ask that clients sign up for quickbooks online, which we can offer them a discount of about $17/ month, then we ask them to sync their business bank to the quickbooks online which will save the need for manual entry. Our firm then goes through and classifies the accounts, reconciles bank statements, and creates balance sheets and Profit & Loss sheets for the clients.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied Accounting at the LDS Business, which I finished in 2016. Part of the curriculum was several hands on courses in which we learned how to input transactions for several different types of business. These included wholesale retailers, and service providers. My studies concluded with a course that trained for the Quickbooks user certification. After finishing my studies at LDSBC, I was hired by BJ Brown and Co, a CPA firm in Bountiful Utah where I currently work. I am also continuing my education in Accounting by attending BYU.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I've enjoyed working with trucking companies, landscapers, and truck alignment specialists.
