FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing system is simple. I price jobs based on $65 per hour minimum. There is travel, knowledge, experience, tools, and the simple fact that when I leave, It's done and you won't be calling me back to fix it. If there's a welder behind my truck, It's $150 per hour minimum. This may sound steep, but, I have equipment to cover, it will be done right, and I am extremely efficient and have the confidence that it will hold up to whatever conditions the customer may put it through.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually give an estimate loosely based on the worst case scenario, then if it turns out to be less time than I thought, I'll drop the price.. I always try to make sure the customer is happy and if I notice a door needs adjusting, or a curtain rod is falling down, I'll go ahead and fix it, because I already have my drill in my hand, and it's not that big of a deal..
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 30 years of building houses from the ground up, doing demo and rebuilding older homes, repairing, replacing, reworking, and sometimes coming up with solutions for missing hardware, or projects others can't fathom due to guidelines, thinking outside of the box, or simple necessity. I also have experience in machining, drafting, welding, fabrication and mechanical on everything from airplanes to hot rods.. There's really not much out there that I can't fix or make functionable despite the resources at hand.
