- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Made in the Shade Blinds & More is an international franchise with buying power from the major window treatments manufacturers. With this buying power we can provide our clients with top brands window treatments at very competitive prices. Also, just as important is that the brands we have relationships with have limited lifetime warranties on all of their products. Most importantly we strive on excellent customer service. We want are clients to be completely satisfied with their purchase and the service they receive from Made in the Shade Blinds & More.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?During our initial contact we try to get an idea of what the client is looking for. Whether the client knows exactly what they want or has no idea we can make the process as simple as possible. Before the initial consultation we can send beautiful pictures of different style of window treatments to help the client get an idea of what they would want in their home. During the client's free In-home consultation we bring a wide variety of sample books; hand samples of different window treatments; pictures; fabrics and more. We like to have a introduction conversation to get to know them and make them feel comfortable with us. We will walk around their home to see the windows that they want treatments on. Will will talk about the functional use of the window treatment (ie. room darkening, treatment will be open alot, etc). We also take this time to get a sense of the clients style and colors to help them select the perfect window treatment for them. We will take measurements and look at different window treatments with the client and hold different samples up to the window so the client can see how it will look in their window. We then prepare an estimate and make sure the client's questions are answered before concluding the appointment.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Made in the Shade is a international franchise that offers their franchisee a one week full on training. Each individual franchisee is then required to complete separate training sessions from all the manufacturers that are partners with Made in the Shade. Every year the franchise has a conference for all franchisee where there are different seminars and training available to all franchisees. The owner of this franchise, Kathy Stamps has also attended a two-week training on custom soft and hard window treatments.
