Introduction: Given my high levels of baseball experience and extensive knowledge base, I have the ability to provide basic to advanced levels of instruction based on the student's skill level. I take great pride in improving the physical and mental mechanics of a player. I have a unique ability to teach progressive situational hitting/analysis, hitting methodology and zone hitting which is designed to elevate my player to the next level (i.e. little league/pony baseball to elite travel, high school/amateur to college/pro). I also teach basic to advanced fielding and base-running. My personal motto is, "I'm not doing my job if a hitter is not improving and advancing to the next level as a top player." I've been in the game of baseball for 40 plus years and have been teaching/coaching for the last 25 years which has given me a vast amount of knowledge.
I've personally been privileged to receive top level baseball instruction by many top college coaches and professional Major League Baseball players from organizations such as Detroit Tigers, Oakland Athletics, Los Angeles Dodgers, Montreal Expos, and the New York Mets (2 college seasons). As a result of receiving this great coaching and various hitting philosophies, I've adopted as well as developed my own hitting methodologies, matrices, and zone hitting analyses.
More importantly, in addition to being a top level hitting instructor/coach, I'm a great life coach to my young students as I feel education is the key element to succeeding in their adulthood. I always advise my students that they can excel in baseball and use it as a tool to get their college education paid for through an athletic and academic scholarship. I strongly feel that I'm a prime example of excelling in baseball and academics as I played baseball at a high level and also obtained 3 college degrees. So if you're interested in your child/player receiving high quality baseball instruction, please feel free to reach out to me if you want to schedule a 90 minute lesson which includes a FREE 15 - 20 minute hitting evaluation and 3 dimensional hitting analysis. I also offer discounted individual hitting packages of 4 to 8 lessons as well as team/group packages.
I love the game of baseball and pride myself in improving my player's ability, whether it be in hitting, fielding, or base-running. I have a very exciting professional career job, but love to teach baseball in my free time because of my great passion as it doesn't feel like work and is fun to me. I often tell my parents that I get so immersed into teaching that I lose track of instruction time. A few of my colleagues and mentors have said, "you need to find a job that you have a great passion for and get excited as well get paid for at same time." Lastly, I have started to break into the Scouting arena the last 2 years and will be a part-time scout for MLB this year (2018) and plan on becoming a full-time Area MLB Scout as I transition into early retirement. Baseball has and will always be my love until the end of time.
