About this pro
Voted the #1 Guitar Instructor in Newton 4 years running from 2014 to 2017! All ages, levels, and genres. We can discuss guitar (I also teach bass, sax, drums, and voice), recording, songwriting, performing, theory, and more. I teach people how to wear all the hats and how to become successful in all areas of music regardless of where you want to take it. If your goal is to be a full-time musician, great. If you just want to sit on your couch and play guitar while watching a baseball game, also great. We will learn a great deal during our lesson time, but we'll also have a great deal of fun. I know how to keep a good balance. The best part about what I do is the ability to share the knowledge I've learned over the years and pass along the traditions deeply embedded within our art.
Customers rated this pro highly for professionalism and responsiveness.

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to see what folks are interested in working and proceed to come up with a fully, personally-crafted lesson plan.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Berklee College of Music (2002); dual major: guitar performance and audio recording
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I've been playing guitar for a long time and thought this would be a very cool way to give back. I started doing this while working in Los Angeles as a recording engineer. I currently do both in Boston.
