FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Prices depend on what type of show you are looking for. I offer many different types of shows. Street Type is where I set up a small table and perform as people approach me. This is what I would do at a fair or festival. Stand up show is where I would set up a small table and sound system and perform for everyone. This is what would be done for a birthday party or group event. Strolling, or Walk around Magic is where I would walk around and approach people and perform close up magic for them.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to talk to each person and find out what they want, then put together a show that everyone will enjoy!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Rich Gerber got his love for magic in a familiar place – the ‘Happiest Place on Earth’ – Disneyland. There, as a child on every vacation, he spent a lot of time at the Main Street Magic Shop. Then it happened – he found Mingus Magic Shop in his hometown of Reading, Pennsylvania. Through the help of the owner, Wayne Shifflet, he was encouraged to learn and meet others who shared his same joy of magic. It is through the support of his family and friends of the Mingus Magic Club that he is where he is today. Rich is quickly becoming a favorite Magical Family Entertainer in the Reading area. He brings a lot of energy and fun to his shows and wants every kid to leave with a smile . . . even the big ones.
