FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Unfortunately it is very difficult to give a standard price for mold remediation. This is simply because every house, and every environment is different. because we have a proprietary product that will allow us to eliminate mold, the roots, and mold spores throughout the entire house, we can only set a very ROUGH estimate. Our pricing is typically between $0.75 and $1.75 a square foot of treated area.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first thing that we like to do when working with a new customer is establish what are the goals the customer has for the remediation process. Ultimately this will drive the entire remediation process. From that point we establish the mold levels. This can be done with a professionally taken air quality test that we sent off to a laboratory to be judged by a independent third-party. This test is crucial for identifying the safety of current occupation, and more importantly if there is mold that is hiding somewhere throughout the house. Sometimes mold is like an iceberg and the little bit that you see might only be one one-hundredth of the overall issue. From this point forward every remediation job is a case-by-case effort to figure out what needs to be done to eliminate the mold, and what needs to be done to keep the problem from coming back. This will ensure the customer has not wasted any money in remediation on a problem that will just reappear because the original issue was never resolved.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
We found a market that was full of people do what we like to call 'bash and trash'. That is when you simply throw away anything that appears to be compromised by mold. This makes the process exceptionally expensive because now not only does the mold need to be killed, but now you also have to replace countless amounts of things in your house. When we discovered that there was science out there that had provided a product that would actually kill the mold wherever it may be, more thoroughly and more effectively than any other product, while also preserving the building materials and or personal possessions, we decided it was time for us to enter the market.
