Motivation gets you going...discipline gets you there...habits keep you there. I currently work as a personal trainer at the YMCA in Rochester, NY and I am willing to work with you ONLINE to help you not only get in shape/loseweight but to empower the whole-you to be healthy - body, mind & spirit. Newton’s First Law of Motion says an object at rest tends to stay at rest, and an object in motion tends to stay in motion. When it comes to achieving an important goal in our life, this means one thing: The most important thing is to find a way to get started. Once you get started, it is much easier to keep going - to stay “in motion” - and make progress toward accomplishing your goal. My process for coaching you is based on building momentum starting with day one. So the first thing we'll do is find a first step that you can take toward your goal. But before we do that, I need to hear more about your goal and why you might want to work with me. Here are four questions to kick off the process: 1. What goal do you want to achieve...and why? 2. Describe how your life will be different/better when you achieve this goal? 3. Describe your typical (not perfect) day. In other words...what’s hindering you from achieving your goal? 4. What are you expecting from me as your coach? How do you hope my coaching will help you? Your input in answering my initial assessment questions fulfills the first aspect of my "5G Life-Change System" - 1. GOAL “If you don’t know where you are going, any road will take you there.” Deciding what you want to accomplish will start you on the correct path to achieving the desired results/change in your life. 2. GROOVE We will use the goal assessment questions to find an action you can turn into a regular, daily, consistent habit that supports your goal. 3. GROWTH Once you have established a consistent habit, you will work on expanding this action to optimize progress toward your goal. 4. GRADUATE If your goal has been reached, celebrate your achievement! If your new habit turns out to be stepping stone toward your goal, still celebrate your progress AND look for the next action/skill/practice that will bring you even closer to your goal. 5. GOD ...or universe, energy, higher power, nature, law of attraction, or “may the force be with you.” Connecting with God gives you the added edge of tapping into His wisdom, strength, and purpose for living. As a follower of Jesus for over 35 years, I am NOT talking about being “religious.” God is an actual, real person who loves you unconditionally and is ever-present to help you in all the affairs of your life. Please know that I really do need your answers to the above questions. My process for helping you is not a cookie-cutter, boilerplate, one-fits-all, copy-and-paste system. The process I walk you through will be designed...just for you! My goal is for you to see good progress within two weeks. I know it is scary trying to find a personal trainer online.
