Introduction: I am a self made motivational speaker. I have 31 years of experience as an educator and 25 years as a professional speaker. I am currently writing a book. I was rated a five-star speaker at the Chicago Divorce Expo in 2011. I have spoken to thousands of people during my career on a variety of topics. I have spoken at numerous graduations,academic banquets, eulogies, and community events. I am currently the Mayor of my hometown and was previously a city council member for 8 years. The Out of the Dark Program focuses on a variety of issues including educational behavior issues, depression, divorce, single parenting,community improvement measures, and classroom teaching techniques. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I spent years volunteering my services to become experienced in a variety of settings and develop an ability to understand the various audiences I would encounter as a paid professional. I believe my speaking fees are affordable for the customer, while at the same time represent the hard work I have done to achieve this compensation. I have a base fee of $800.00 with an additional fee for group size, travel distance, and length of program. The price range would be no less than $800.00 and no more than $1500.00 within a 200 mile radius.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I would like to format my message to the customers needs. I like to engage in conversations prior to event to ensure the audience and message will have a connection that makes the event special.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 31 years of teaching and coaching experience. My psychology and sociology background allow me to connect with the audience in a unique way. I have been a single parent of two children for the last 18 years. I have been a city councilman and am currently the Mayor of my hometown of Rock Port. I have spoken in a variety of settings from small groups to large audiences, which has given me a prospective that I believe allows me to connect with everyone in the room. I have lived my message. This message comes from real life experiences that resonates with audiences.
