Incorrectly diagnosed my electrical issue. Had to pay another electrician to fix it correctly.

Well let’s just say you can’t please everyone . I went out to the customer on a Sunday morning which is an after hours service call. Never charged her to come out and never charged her to diagnose the issue. The customer had a short out in the living room area Which I found almost immediately due to 20 year old bad receptacles. As I further investigated the home I come to find 10+ receptacles that were also causing more electric shortages to the home. I explained to the customer that they need to be replaced. She asked me the cost I told her $50.00 per unit at which she agreed. At that point I went to the supply store to purchase the units with face plates as well. To make a long story short I never charged the customer the agreed price I cut the price below half. After I finished I ran a complete check of my work Her lights were back on and she was satisfied, she paid me $220.00 which didn’t include travel from rome to Marietta ga(53miles) or trouble shooting. When I left everything was fine another happy customer. So the following day I get this phone call saying the issue started again and I had to call someone else to fix the issue that she had to pay and she wanted her money back. I explained what I charged for and was unable to refund her money she replied “ I would hate to DING you on thumbtack” And I simply replied it would be a first and the call was disconnected by the customer. Once again I’m sorry I was unable to refund your money but I don’t work for free. Sorry Thumbtk
