FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For a chapter 7 bankruptcy, I charge an initial price of $1,100 which may change depending on the complexity of the case. For a chapter 13 bankruptcy, I charge a flat fee of $4,000 for an individual case and $6,000 for a business case. Tax Debt resolution cases range from $3,500 to $10,000 based on the service being provided and complexity of the case. However, the higher price point is usually for business cases.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I offer an initial free consultation to determine if someone needs my services. If I am retained for a bankruptcy, then I meet with the client again to personally go over their income and assets and prepare their petition. This takes about 3-4 hours. The client then receives an emailed copy of their petition for review and if everything looks okay, they sign the documents. The next time I see the client is at the meeting of creditors at the federal courthouse. If a client retains me for tax resolution, then I will first research their account with the IRS or Franchise Tax Board. Once the research is complete, I will inform the client if they further need my services and how best to proceed. The client will have to complete a questionnaire and gather their financial documents for me to review also so that I can establish a resolution with the IRS or Franchise Tax Board.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I obtained my law degree from U.C. Berkeley, School of Law and my B.S. from CSU, Sacramento. I have worked at two nationwide tax resolution firms and two high filing bankruptcy firms in Sacramento, California.
