FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have 4 different package options for each type of session so that you can choose exactly what you want. Each is a little different as far as time for the session, number of edits, outfits, ect. I require $25 up front as a retainer fee to reserve your session and the remainder is due at the session.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I LOVE my job. I get to meet and work with some of the best people. When you become a customer of Heather Carey Photography you are not just a customer but a friend. After the first initial consultation and booking for your session I help you go through Outfits for your family session if you are not sure on what you should wear. I send Idea boards for your cake smash sessions and plan everything down to the last detail. My cake smash sessions include cake, outfit, balloons, and a whole setup tailored to your theme you like. I consult back and forth with Newborn clients about colors, looks, and setups they love. I consult with seniors about locations, personal items to include, and outfit choices. After the session you are able to go through your proofing gallery that I send online and select which photos you like edited. After they are edited you receive a gallery of images you can download and use as you wish. Then every two weeks I put in print orders for clients if they wish to order prints. After the process of working together, I have many clients who become friends. I love seeing them and just catching up on how their family is doing and how their kids are growing.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Photography runs in my Family. My grandfather has been a photographer for 50+ years. I also have a sister who is a fine art and portrait photographer. When I had my kids I wanted to be able to capture each moment with them and it didn't take long to realize I also had a passion for photography. I started my business and it took off. I now specialize in Newborns, Children, Seniors, and Families.
