Introduction: What makes my photography business great is that I avoid what I call dishonest business practices that seem to be plaguing the photography industry; charging customers a “sitting fee” for their session and then charging them for their pictures, taking the photographs and outsourcing the editing, drastic price-gouging, or signing up to do weddings/events/other sessions without the appropriate equipment. I charge fair prices and have thus far reinvested all of my earnings into new equipment and creative tools. I take all of the photographs myself, with the exception of second/third shooters for some weddings and large events, and I perform all of the editing myself! Also, as I have a “day job” and am not renting out any kind of an office space, I can charge significantly less than comparable photographers. My goal has always been to provide exceptional photography services at surprisingly affordable prices! My absolute favorite thing about photography is seeing my clients’ reactions when they receive the photographs we took together. I am in love with the art of photography, as well as post-processing, and I have a passion for making my subjects look their very best, and meeting individuals, couples, and families that are excited for their session and that have creative ideas makes my job that much more enjoyable!
