- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard wedding package starts at $500 and includes my time for the day of the wedding. I typically arrive up to 2 hours before the ceremony to accommodate the needs of the wedding party. I also stay through all the traditional reception events such as the bouquet toss and cutting the wedding cake. I have higher priced packages that include enlargements and other premium offerings. I'm always willing to tailor my packages to my client's needs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Although I've taken photography courses in college, I feel my most effective training has come from seminars I've attended, articles I've read, and practice. I'm a lifetime member of the International Freelance Photographers Organization, and a longtime member of the Photographic Society of America. I've taken a variety of courses from both of these organizations.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always had a passion for photography going back to childhood, and still have those early blurry photos to prove it! I started in wedding photography when a close friend was getting married and wasn't going to have a photographer. I received a referral from that first wedding, and again while photographing that second wedding. Word of mouth advertising has driven my business since those early days.
