- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My quotes are based on the type of material (Tile, vinyl, wood etc..) Type of layout (diagonal, herringbone, straight lay, brick pattern etc..) If there is subfloor/underlayment prep/demolition. My prices are usually a set flat rate. Sometimes I can look at a job and know for sure how many hours for completion and other times there are just too many unknowns. If work to be completed is multiple days I do ask for a deposit or payment in full at the end of the first day. Payment will be required at the end of the project. I prefer cash, but checks are accepted.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Connecting first and discussing their project needs then I like to meet and go over their vision and see the job in person to give the customer a true quote. If they book the job with me, then we set a time and date that is best for both of us and I get to work making their vision and dreams come to life.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Honestly, self taught..on the job training with professionals with years of service and YouTube. I’m lucky enough to be able see a task get done and can replicate it. Funny thing is, I can’t remember what I’ve read but once I see something performed it’s engrained into my memory.
