I had very little time and no previous martial arts experience. Dan, co-owner of Burg Fitness, tailored a custom self-defense training session including the psychology of assaults, how to detect, defuse an attack and how to defend myself if physically confronted. I feel better now about being able to keep myself safe while traveling alone around the US and internationally. His gym also offers kickboxing, spin and TRX classes, and personal fitness training. Dan's class is unbelievable it's what I call Body changer. He encourages you to really push yourself and level up in strength and endurance. Dan is so much fun to train with and the timing of the class really gets the most from your workout I love the structure I love the energy and I love the results. A couple of classes with Dan a week definitely helped me reach my goals faster than I thought was possible and now I'm confidently aiming for more ambitious targets I can't say enough about the talent and dedication that I have found nowhere in the same capacity as at Burg Fitness thanks Dan you are an amazing coachFeb 2, 2018
I took the weekend self-defense course from Dan. This is a crazy old world, and as the song says: 'Beer is good, and people are crazy'. Most of us never even wrestle with a person for fun. We respect peoples' space. and if we are lucky, we will never be violently attacked. But, as a 105 pound woman, I know how fragile I am, no matter how much I work out. Dan's class took us from frozen in fear to self-defense actions that were visceral, instinctual, and sometimes thoughtful. He showed us that we have an arsenal for self-defense in our bodies, and how to utilize that arsenal. He taught how to be survivors, not victims. Thanks Dan!Feb 2, 2018
Dan definitely has given me the best workout that I have ever had. He explains the reasons why you are doing what it is that you are doing. He will go at your pace but he will not let you take any shortcuts, that is one of the thingsI like best about coming here, he will definitely hold you to a higher standard.
