Very motivated, professional, organized. Tailors the lessons to the students' strengths and weaknesses. Would recommend to any parent looking for a teacher for their child.Jan 3, 2016
Stephen is an exceptional teacher. My son has learned quite a bit about percussion and has really grown to love music thanks to Stephen. He has gone above and beyond my expectations. He is easy to work with and definitely puts his students first. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, respectable percussion teacher in the Salt Lake area.Oct 16, 2015
I have hired Stephen Hughes in three different capacities. I hired him to teach my drum line for marching band season, and then hired him to teach private lessons to a group of students. I have also hired to him to perform with a professional wind orchestra as a percussionist. He is an outstanding educator with a very thorough understanding of how to communicate with students, how to work with colleagues, and how to develop and implement a plan. His pedagogy is sound, and his results are thorough. As a performer, he is very trustworthy on all different elements of the percussion section. His rehearsal demeanor is impeccable, and his preparation skills are thorough. He can be trusted implicitly as a performer and educator.Jan 3, 2016
