Introduction: I wish to help people see their inherent beauty, light and worth. When we spend time on our mat or dance, we take time to connect with and open up to the light that connects us all. This allows us to be more vulnerable and open hearted towards ourselves and others. Our body keeps the score, and often back-pain, headaches, lethargy, neck pain etc comes from not just poor posture and repetitive movements, but from past unresolved trauma and pain. If trauma isn’t resolved it gets stored in the body in the form of pain or aches, depression or anxiety. It’s my job to help you befriend your body and your sense of agency and control. In order to find your voice you have to be in your body, be able to breathe fully and be able to access your inner emotions. Received my 200 RYT and 300 RYT certification with Denise Druce in Utah. I am certified with Yael Calhoun in Trauma Sensitive Yoga, and Anatomy for Yoga Enthusiasts with Joshua L McGirk and Yoga for athletes with Denise Druce. I have taught yoga for 5 years and dance for 6 years. I am grateful for the opportunity to meet with you or talk on the phone to answer any questions. Thank you.

Jennifer was so much fun. Little bit of a time mix up but we made it work! We We requested a fun, low key yoga class to kickstart my bachelorette weekend. She brought music and mixed her yoga skills with our crazy dance moves and might have invented the best yoga class I’ve ever attended. Amazing! Would hire her weekly if is lived in Houston! Thank you Jennifer! We had a great time.

We met with Jennifer for a dance lesson before our wedding. We were not looking for a full, choreographed dance, we just didn't want to look like a couple of high schoolers swaying back and forth on our big day. She was so lovely to work with and she built on the style and moves we already had, which was really cool. We worked on steps, dips and spins that made us feel so confident during our 1st dance and throughout the evening. I would highly recommend doing something like this. Thank you again, Jennifer!!

I sent my parents to salsa dance lesson for their 34th anniversary at Jennifer’s studio and they had a blast! My partner and I were looking for someone to help us with our first dance at our wedding. We wanted someone who could listen to our music and give us some training on which classical style was best. This was for a non -choreographed, go-with-the-flow type of first dance. Jennifer came in and gave us more than we could ever imagine. She started off with the formal stuff per our request, and then allowed us to really make it our own. After a while, she wasn’t really teaching us anymore, but more so building up our own confidence with what felt natural and good. Jennifer is the most supportive and cheerful instructor in all the best ways. She embraces what makes you feel good and allows you to run with it, giving you small little dance professional pointers along the way to make it special. We just had our wedding this past weekend, and our first dance was just amazing, so beautiful, and very us. We couldn’t have come this far without Jennifer’s session.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge 80 hour if I travel to your address, if you come here, I charge 60. If you decide to do 10 classes I give one free. If you are struggling with finances I would love to help you and we can work out a price that makes sense. I am flexible.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask questions about what you are trying to accomplish in order to make the best use of your time. Then I tailor teaching to your specific needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In Norway I practiced Ballet, Ballroom and DiscoJazz and other dance forms since I was little. My high school degree was in exercise science. I also played professional soccer. My parents taught me dance and dance instruction since I can remember. They were professional Ballroom dancers. I studied and competed in Ballroom Dance at Brigham Young University. I also got an aerobics certification there. In 2017 I got my 200 and 300hr Yoga Certificate with Denise Druce in Utah. That makes me 500hr certified with Yoga Alliance.
