Introduction: Working in the healing arts for more than a decade I have assisted numerous clients on their journey to greater health and well being. I have spent many hours studying yoga therapeutics and working one-on-one enables me to be really effective with my work, releasing long held patterns of pain, imbalance and discomfort. Working both as a yoga teacher and massage therapist allows me to understand and treat people through both lenses. In fact, many clients opt for 2-hour sessions where we warm up the body first through yoga and then iron things out even further with a massage. I love helping people feel more connected to their bodies, release patterns of pain and discomfort and find more freedom within. I love seeing people empowered to take control of their health and well being and knowing that the work I do has such a positive impact on their lives.

If I could, I'd give Dana 10 stars. I was referred to Dana by Dr Jason Rabineau (see review) when I mentioned to him that I was interested in 1:1 yoga. And I'm so grateful. I've practiced yoga off and on for years and have always enjoyed the poses, breathing, and mindfulness that it has brought. I'd never had the chance to practice 1:1 and as I've gotten older, I've needed more guidance to figure out ways to move my body without injuring it. My tendency is to over do it and I end up with some type of strain/pain. When I started seeing Dana I told her I was interested in getting more in tune with my body, learning how to do yoga without injuring myself, and starting a home practice. What I've experienced in my 1:1 sessions with Dana is nothing less than amazing. She is very gifted in knowing our bodies, helping to bring awareness to parts of our bodies that we often don't pay as much attention to (back body) and giving just the right instruction to get into and be in poses the way that is best for your individual body. Each session is unique and individualized depending on what's going on with you physically and emotionally. In just the short time that I've been working with Dana, I've noticed my body become more supple and pliable. Dana is helping me to really get to know my body through doing the poses. I'm more aware of my bodies tendencies than I ever have been. She's also given me a routine I can practice at home - one that I feel confident in doing on my own that I know I won't hurt myself doing. I can't recommend Dana enough. It feels like true self care practicing with her

While I haven't seen her yet (I fell asleep to hide away, slept all day, and missed the appointment), she left a very soothing voice mail saying she had sensed in my voice, when I called her finally, that something was wrong, something had happened. Others might have picked up on that, also, but Dana took the time to check in with me and voice her concern. It wasn't a "you should ..." message; I heard it as compassion for my damaged state (but she doesn't know that much about me, other than I wanted a deep-tissue massage). She was a lifeline today.

I came to Dana looking for yoga instruction for my teenage daughter who has anxiety and asthma. She was very empathetic to her specific needs and connected with her from the moment we met. I picked my daughter up from their first session more relaxed and grounded then I've ever seen her! Dana exudes the perfect balance between professionalism and compassion and she will be our go-to person from this point forward for deepening into a mind-body connection. We had an absolutely wonderful experience and highly recommended her. We will both be utilizing her services in the future.
