FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For some kinds of cases we offer fixed fees, in others we offer contingency fees (meaning we don't get paid unless we get YOU paid), and in still others we bill by the hour for the time your case requires. Nobody likes surprises, especially in lawyers' bills, so we discuss fees and payment up front, before you decide to hire us.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We begin each new client relationship with an in-person meeting. We do an in-depth examination of the client's legal problem and possible solutions, including the expected or estimated cost of our services. If we can't help the client ourselves, we strive to make a referral to a firm or lawyer who can. If the client doesn't like anything we say, about money or anything else, there's no obligation to hire us and our analysis and advice is free.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Every lawyer is required to have a four-year college degree and graduate a three-year law school program at an accredited law school. Every lawyer must also pass a rigorous bar examination and take at least 15 hours of Continuing Legal Education annually. Our firm's founder/owner is a top-tier graduate of the top-rated University of Alabama Law School. Roll Tide.
