- How did you get started doing this type of work?
As one of the top programming students in college, when I graduated, one of my most senior instructors singled me out for a business partnership. It became clear that I had a way that worked when joining technology and people. Since then, I have worked in roles as individual contributor to director level at worldwide organizations. In every case, I was pulled toward the customer functions. Helping people make technology usable is what I'm good at and in 25 years, I have never looked back.

Find knowledge depth *beyond* the level of work you need -- "just enough" fails when questions or problems occur.
