Introduction: Welcome to the Bay Area Music Workshop - offering guitar, voice, ukulele, bass and piano lessons. My 20 years' experience teaching will get you singing, playing and performing quickly with special attention to your unique, creative flair. We'll explore songs, technique and theory while learning 'how to practice' using sustainable, fun and engaging plans. You'll learn how to remain mindful and engaged and - most importantly - excited about learning music. Understand your range and how to alter a song to suit your voice. Improve your pitch with ear training and vocal exercises. Learn how to use vocal arranging to improve performance and comfort. Find your style and learn how to make a song your own. My approach to voice instruction is called Speech Level Singing. It's a contemporary singing technique, great for rock, folk, jazz, pop and blues. Really helps smooth out tough areas and protects the vocal system from pain and general fatigue. In addition to technique, pitch, tone and range improvements I also offer performance prep with a focus on how to make a song your own.
