Introduction: With over 12 years experience, I offer an excellent program for beginners with detailed one-on-one instruction for developing the proper, fundamental techniques to becoming a successful player. I like to have a relaxed, fun atmosphere where we can apply these fundamentals to learn the exact music you want to play. Take a quick look at my Yelp reviews to see what others have said. I do on-demand transcribing when requested for all styles of music. I specialize in theory, reading notation, finger style and improvisation in rock, blues, jazz, classical, r&b, reggae, country and latin. I've studied guitar and music from the age of 12. I attended Fullerton JC and received my AA there. I perform live and tour on a regular bases so my lessons are taught from a "real world" perspective. I have published a book through Hal Leonard and recorded with famed producer, Michael Vail Blum, who has recorded with Pink Floyd and Madonna. In addition, I've been fortunate to have been sponsored by Gibson guitars, Monster cables, Budda amps, Keeley electronics and John Pearse strings. Every student has a different personality, so I enjoy teaching each person differently than the last, because not everyone will learn the same. I enjoy learning each person's personality along with their strengths and weaknesses, so that we can advance both in both areas. Lessons are also reciprocal, since I'm learning different views on how to approach music; the more I teach, the more I understand.
