Introduction: I have been dj'ing now for over 17 years and have accumulated a wealth of experience over that time. For the first 11 years, I worked for a large dj company, receiving "formal" training, and the past seven I have worked for myself. As an independent contractor, I am able to deliver professional service at a reasonable price. Moreover, I am involved with the entire process, from initial phone call to consultation to dj'ing the event, so I am able to provide excellent customer service throughout--something I highly value. Serving as a dj at weddings and other events, I am able to provide the structure, ambiance, and of course, a very fun dance party, to these gatherings. I love music, dancing, and working with people---what could be a better job!! Having now dj'd for over 17 years, I can honestly say that you have to love it in order to sustain the energy, enthusiasm, and positivity to deliver the an excellent "product" to each and every client. Scott was an amazing DJ, he really helped my wife and I with everything we needed to. He even offered to help us clean up after the wedding. I highly recommend Scott if you plan on throwing an event and you need a DJ.

We loved working with Scott for our wedding! He is awesome. He has all of the qualities you would want in a great DJ: he is organized, personable, fun, and has good musical taste. He made sure to include all the songs we wanted, made good suggestions on first-dance music, and aligned the overall music accordingly. We love dancing and Scott made sure the music kept everyone on the floor with the party going. Additionally, he was on top of it with reception announcements, timing, equipment, and overall emcee skills. We definitely recommend Scott for any DJ needs for your event!

Hire Scott immediately! I wanted to put that first because I am sure a lot of people do not read the full reviews. Scott was the perfect addition to our wedding. The whole process was organized, professional, friendly and amazing! Scott knows what he is doing and does it exceptionally well. He kept us on track and even sent us reminders about things. Scott was not obtrusive at all during the event and completely stuck with the planned schedule. He played the songs requested and stayed away from the songs we did not want played. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I communicate carefully and thoroughly with a new customer to understand their needs, make sure I'm a good fit for them, and learn the details planned for their wedding or event.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I loved making "mix cassettes" as a kid, and became the "default dj" at friends' house parties. Later, my brother asked me to oversee the music at his wedding, a casual backyard affair. Years later I responded to an ad for "dj wanted", and got hired and trained by a big dj company in Santa Cruz, CA. Eleven years later, it was time for me to branch off into my own business to provide the highest level of service at the best value.
What types of customers have you worked with?
In the over 14 years I have been a dj/mc, I have worked with people of various ethnic backgrounds, socio-economic backgrounds, and musical tastes!
