FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first question is always "Do you have a floor plan of your space?" Next is "Do you have a budget?" If a floor plan exists, then I use that including the information the client shared with me about what they are looking for to create the design. If one doesn't exist, I have to produce what we call the as-built before I can create the space plan and design boards to present of my design. There are typically several design meetings to review the design and selections before we finalize everything and place any orders. I stay involved throughout from beginning to the completion. I try to make the entire process as painless and even enjoyable as possible!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended Parsons School of Design and I have been a practicing interior designer for over 30 years
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I am currently working on a redesign for a homeowner at the Jersey Shore. They had the house lifted post Sandy and are taking the opportunity to do some much needed redesign-space planning. I was able to keep a lot of what they had, which is saving them money. In our last design meeting, my client commented how much more space I have given them within the same footprint and appreciated how I am not spending money where it doesn't need to be spent. I was able to produce the plans in a few weeks.
