I found Mitch on Thumbtack, and asked him to provide me with a CAD diagram of a motorcycle rear brake rotor (DXF & DWG files) based upon my specifications. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to ensure that I fully understand what the client expects from me. I also take the opportunity during our initial conversation to make sure we're on the same page with the scope of the project. Once we agree on the scope and a plan, I get to work and do my best to over-deliver on the project. I value open and honest conversation to avoid any miscommunication on either side. We're in this together.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an Associates Degree in Mechanical Drafting & Design coupled with 12 years of experience designing industrial & consumer products.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
In 2004, I used AutoCAD for the first time. In 2005, I obtained an associates degree and started my career as a Designer. After gaining some real-world experience, I started doing more and more jobs on the side.
