Introduction: Piper/ Candra Prabha, IYT (Integrative Yoga Therapist), ERYT-500+ (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher) and IAYT (International Association of Yoga Therapists) began ​practicing yoga in 1992 studying the Iyengar, Ashtanga, and Anusara styles of yoga. Certified in 1995 in Integrative Yoga Therapy (300 hr IYT), she has been teaching full-time since 1996. She is guided in the study of the primordial Tantric roots of the yogic tradition by her guru Dharma Bodhi. With over 1800 hours of instructor training and 20 years of teaching experience, she brings to her classes confidence and a well-rounded knowledge of the practice. She takes personal interest in each and every student with a thorough understanding of their strengths and weaknesses, and guides them to perform according to their capacities. She specializes in working one on one therapeutically with beginner to advanced students, emphasizing alignment, meditative movement and relaxation. Her continuous study into all aspects of Yoga has helped her to introduce innovative methods of teaching. She is particularly invested in the healing capacity of this ancient art/science and its profound transformational effects on the body, mind, and energy. As the owner of Burlington Yoga and director of the Burlington Yoga 200/500-hour Teacher Training, she is especially focused on the integration of the yogic path with daily living. The idea of a "yoga class" is relatively new. Traditionally Yoga was taught one on one or in small groups and tailored to the specific needs and proficiency of each student. In a private session we individually address proper alignment, breathing techniques and the full range of biomechanical injuries and limitations. Private lessons are for all levels of students from the complete beginner to advanced students and yoga teachers. Ongoing private lessons are designed to continually deepen and refine the students practice.
