FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing varies. For most projects, I charge flat fees with a clear description of what's included and what the hourly fees will be if we go out of scope. Flat fees allow my clients to budget my services and plan for the unexpected. For small, quick projects, billing is 50% upfront, 50% upon the project's completion. Longer projects usually involve a payment and deliverables schedule that we'll negotiate in advance. I accept checks and PayPal.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We'll have an initial email chat or 15-minute phone call for free, just so I can get to know your project's scope. After that, I ask for a 50% deposit from all clients, new or existing, before I begin digging in. Regarding the work itself: my approach is to ask you questions to help understand your business. Then I tap into your analytics -- if you have it -- and interpret your data to create a picture of how your site or product is performing and where you could use tweaks to see better results. Hunches can be effective, but using data to back up creative decisions is critical. I want you to succeed -- it makes me look good!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I began my career as a video producer (industrials and commercials) and have a production and editing background, which helps me budget projects, manage people, and tell a clear story quickly.
