FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
There are a thousand variables that could affect pricing, but I offer two entry-level packages specifically for web development. For those who need a simple, one page portfolio site - an online business card, if you will - those start at $200. There is the 6-for-15 plan for small businesses; a 6 page website including all web copy and social media integration for $1,500. For copywriting, prices can be anywhere from $50 an hour to $100 depending on the need of the client. Simple web or email copy is generally in the $50 range. Id the needs include SEO, research, marketing strategies and tagline/slogan creation, the rate gets closer to the high-end figure. For logo creation only, one simple letter-style logo in Vector graphics with no variants is $100. From there, really there could be almost endless variations, each with a different rate. Most clients' needs run somewhere in the $300-$500 range. For a complete business-oriented cross-platform branding/rebranding effort involving taglines, multiple logo variants, and products/giveaways, that is obviously a significant project involving a creative team that will run well into the thousands. Every client is different. Are your needs in the $100 range or the $5,000 range? Let's find out. Contact me today and I will tailor a quote specifically to your needs that fits within your budget.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It all starts with listening. So many times, a client's needs are simply brushed aside for what the developer thinks is right. I listen, formulae a plan f action, put it down on paper or a PDF, and viola! We have a statement of work where everyone is on the same page.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I created my first marketing graphics in the mid-1990's for a startup computer manufacturer in Colorado. Creativity has always been my calling card. It was my love of sports that first led to me website ownership in 2012 where I took over an NFL-affiliated website. I wanted to branch out from athletics and started my own freelancing website development endeavor in January 2015.
