Introduction: I am a professionally experienced and published writer/editor/photographer. My work ranges from annual reports to magazines, from profiles to product, music, and book reviews. I view my writing as art. I love making descriptions, content, profiles, reviews "come to life" in a "connective" way that is exciting, memorable, and branding. Working with my clients is relational and goes beyond the price of the job, reflecting my joy and benefits of the job which are (1) long-term, (2) repeat business, and (3) referral-forward.
As a graduate student mentor, I am able to engage the student, create an enjoyable experience though not easy, and progress the student from struggling or stressed to winningly successful. My technique-specialties are mind-mapping, collegiate short-cut reading, comparative research, and power-review and revising. These skills were honed through many years of professional experience and graduate school (three masters and dual doctorate programs).
I love the challenge(s) each project presents. It is an opportunity to engage my creativity and art, even if it is a business profile or technical piece, without making it about me. I love the "exceeds expectations" gratitude of my clients when they realize I take pride and ownership in my work as if the project was my very own. I love "giving" through my work. It makes me feel good knowing I have made someone joyful - not just satisfied, with the end results. I like that I am able to make my time flexible in doing a project for maximum effect (creative people need this to avoid "blocks"), yet is compliant to deadlines (never miss them) and details. I take great pride in my profession and encourage others to find their own professional passions.
