Introduction: I enjoy working with each unique customer and bringing in their specific music tastes to create a great set list for their event. Music pops when played on my groovy sound system! LED dance floor lighting also available. Seven different professional quality live bands make for a great party, capable of playing all different popular music styles! I love getting my awesome JBL sound system all set up and tuned and rockin' the dance floor. I have been drumming since I was in middle school, and still love every time I get to sit down on the drum chair and perform!

We hired Jon to DJ our Berkeley, CA wedding in October 2009. We also had them play jazz music on the patio during our cocktail hour. We couldn't have been happier with JSH Music! Jon is great to work with, clearly loves what he does, and is a cool guy - not obnoxious on the mike like some wedding DJs can be. He got everybody's name right (really important!) and helped the event flow really smoothly. He was also welcoming of some of our family members and friends who wanted to play a tune with the jazz band. We appreciated that flexibility. Jon created such a fun dance party (a packed dance floor the entire night) that one of my friends decided to hire him to DJ her own wedding after ours! Looking back at the pictures of the dance floor it was obvious what a great job he did - not only was the dance floor packed, all the older guests were up dancing too, including my almost 90-year old grandmother! We highly recommend hiring JSH Music for your event - you'll be glad you did!!

To all couples looking for a rocking band for their wedding - look no further! Stir Father knocked it out of the park and exceeded every expectation we had. They got everyone on the dance floor, had such a great range of music genres on their set list, worked with us to learn what songs we wanted to hear and even learned a couple special requested songs to play at our wedding. We heard from so many guests after the wedding about how awesome the band was. Great people, great tunes and too much fun!! It truly made our entire wedding having them be a part of it. Jon at JSH Music Productions who is the drummer of Stir Father and was our main contact in coordinating ahead of the wedding was so responsive and easy to work with. In addition to our reception band (Stir Father), Jon worked with us to provide music services (an acoustic set) for our Friday evening rehearsal dinner event, as well as brass players for a "second line" parade that happened from our wedding to our after party. Every last detail and request was accounted for and coming from two avid music lovers, we were above and beyond happy with all musical elements involved in our wedding weekend! What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
discuss scope of the event, number of hours, location, access to stage/performance area, power outlets, timing. I create a contract and take a 25% deposit to secure the date, equipment and musicians needed. We stay in touch about music requests and final details up until the day of the event

BA in music from UC Santa Barbara and almost ten years of running my own music production company performing an average of 30-35 events per year.
