FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge 35 cents per print for images between 2x2.5" up to 8.5x34". If photographs are fragile or need extra care, I charge 65 cents to scan on a flatbed scanner. For additional services such as photo organizing or retouching, I charge $40 per hour. Due to the nature of each project, I prefer to message with clients to get more details about their needs and what they need scanning or organized. For that reason, send me a message, and we can communicate about how you would like to proceed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At the initial client meeting, I glance through the photographs or items to be scanned and discuss any concerns. If a client wants to make a photo book in the future, I will consider how the customer wants their photographs organized digitally and whether they desire keywords or comments added to the digital file. Keywords and comments can help the customer find a specific photograph at a later date.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken training through the Association of Personal Photo Organizers. I have taken classes on scanning, digital photo organizing, and adding metadata to digital files. I continue to follow new techniques and information. As part of my training, I have scanned and organized over 10,000 of my negatives, photographs, and digital files. I have been making digital photo books for over 15 years.
